Let's Talk About Skin Peels

Written by The Hampton Clinic | Jul 30, 2025 8:40:13 PM

There’s a certain magic in the idea of shedding the old to reveal something fresher, smoother and healthier underneath. That’s what skin peels are really about - a smarter, more clinical way to support your skin’s natural rhythm.

And if you’ve ever been curious about trying one, today’s the day to do it. Skin peels are part of our *Summer Offers* here at The Hampton Clinic - and those end at midnight tonight. We’re offering six of our Signature Lift peels for £350 instead of £485, and you don’t even have to book your treatments right away. Just lock it in, and we’ll schedule when it suits you.

But before you do that, let’s break it all down, because peels are far more versatile (and far less intimidating) than most people think.

First, What Even Is* a Skin Peel?**

In simplest terms, a peel is a treatment that helps your skin shed what it no longer needs: dead skin cells, uneven tone, dullness, congestion, early signs of ageing. Your skin does this naturally, but like most biological processes, it slows with time. Peels just give it a nudge.

Using a specific blend of acids or enzymes (more on those in a second), the outermost layers of skin are gently loosened. This sends a message to your skin to regenerate, encouraging fresh skin cells to rise to the surface and stimulating collagen in the deeper layers. Skin looks clearer, brighter and smoother, with better tone, texture and bounce.

And not all peels are created equal.

At The Hampton Clinic, We Offer Two Categories of Peels: Resurfacer and Advanced

Think of Resurfacer Peels as your gentle, but effective reset. These are ideal for first-timers, maintenance treatments or anyone looking for an easy glow-up. They work with milder acids or fruit enzymes to exfoliate and refresh the skin without causing visible peeling. You could go straight back to work after one.

Take our ZO Stimulator Peel, for example. Known as the “red carpet peel,” this one uses a combination of glycolic, lactic and citric acids to exfoliate and brighten. Created by Dr. Zein Obagi, it’s great to improve fine lines, dullness, rough texture or mild pigmentation. You’ll walk out glowing, no peeling, no flaking, just clearer skin.

Then there’s the IMAGE Signature Lift, a beautiful choice if your skin leans dry, red or sensitive. A four-layer peel that blends vitamin C, fruit enzymes and hyaluronic acid in an aloe vera base, it works to hydrate as it exfoliates, something not all peels can say.

Or if you prefer something completely natural, our IMAGE Ormedic Lift is packed with organic fruit enzymes like papaya, mango and pumpkin. It’s the most gentle of the bunch, and a lovely option if your skin needs a refresh but you’re wary of anything too active.

Our Advanced Peels are more intensive and transformative, ideal if you’re dealing with stubborn pigmentation, acne scarring or more pronounced signs of ageing. These go deeper into the skin and, as a result, you can expect some peeling in the days afterwards, but what’s happening beneath the surface is worth it.

The IMAGE Acne Lift is a go-to for blemish-prone skin. Combining AHAs, BHAs and plant stem cells, it fights active breakouts, regulates oil, and helps fade post-acne marks. Not just for teenagers, this one’s powerful but well-balanced.

The IMAGE Wrinkle Lift is designed to do exactly what it says, using glycolic acid and retinol to reduce the appearance of fine lines and encourage collagen production. If you’ve noticed that your skin feels thinner, duller or less elastic, this can help.

And for those dealing with pigmentation, the IMAGE Lightening Lift is a blend of lactic and kojic acid paired with botanical brighteners to gently fade stubborn discolouration, melasma and sun damage.

Then there's the IMAGE Perfection Lift. This one brings out the big guns: AHA, BHA, retinol, resorcinol, peptides, plant stem cells. It targets everything from acne to deep lines to uneven texture, basically the full spectrum. It does require skin prep beforehand, but if you’re after dramatic change, it delivers.

Peels Are More Than Just Exfoliation

What many people don’t realise is that peels can also help strengthen the skin barrier over time, not weaken it. By clearing away surface debris, they allow better absorption of your serums and moisturisers, meaning your at-home routine works harder for you.

They also stimulate collagen, reduce inflammation and refine pores, things we tend to chase with a whole shelf of products, when one well-chosen peel could do the job more efficiently.

Is a Peel Right for You?

Most likely, yes. Thanks to the range of peels we offer, we can tailor a treatment to suit nearly every skin type. We’ll match you to the right formula, at the right strength, with the right preparation.

And we never rush this. Every client begins with a skin consultation so we can assess, listen and create a personalised plan that works.

One Last Thing: Our Summer Offers End Tonight

If you’ve been thinking about trying a peel, or returning for a course, today is the last day to grab our Signature Lift Peel package at £350 for six treatments (normally £485). Once you’ve purchased, you can schedule at your convenience.
