PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy, is one of the most exciting natural approaches to skin rejuvenation and repair. Sometimes known as the ‘vampire facial,’ PRP works with your own body to restore vitality to the skin.
The process begins with a simple blood draw, much like a routine blood test. This sample is then carefully processed to separate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma, which contains powerful growth factors and proteins that the body naturally uses for healing. Once prepared, the PRP is either injected or delivered into the skin with microneedling, where it stimulates new collagen, boosts cell turnover, and repairs tissue from within.
Alongside PRP, we also offer PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) – a more advanced, next-generation treatment. PRF is produced using a gentler, slower spin process that preserves more growth factors and white blood cells, creating a fibrin matrix that releases healing properties gradually over time. This means a longer-lasting, natural stimulation of collagen and tissue repair.
Because both treatments use your own plasma, there is no risk of allergic reaction or rejection, only the body’s natural healing response, enhanced and directed to where it’s needed most.
PRP and PRF are versatile treatments that can be tailored to many concerns, and suitable for both men and women. At The Hampton Clinic, we offer PRP or PRF for:
● Full face rejuvenation for brighter, healthier skin
● Neck and décolletage to soften crepiness and restore firmness
● Tear troughs, helping to improve hollowing and skin quality under the eyes
● Fine lines and wrinkles, for a smoother, more youthful appearance
● Scars and stretch marks, supporting tissue repair and regeneration
● Scalp treatments, encouraging stronger, healthier hair growth
Patients often notice fresher, more radiant skin after just a few sessions, with ongoing improvements in tone, texture, and elasticity as collagen continues to remodel over time.
Both PRP and PRF use your own blood to stimulate natural healing, but the way they’re prepared creates slightly different effects. PRP is spun at a higher speed, separating the plasma so it’s rich in platelets and growth factors. This gives a quick, powerful boost to collagen and skin repair.
PRF, on the other hand, is processed more gently at a lower speed. This preserves more white blood cells and creates a fibrin matrix, which releases growth factors gradually. The result is a slower, more sustained stimulation of collagen and tissue regeneration, often leading to longer-lasting improvements.
In simple terms: PRP is fantastic for overall skin rejuvenation, while PRF takes things a step further by extending the healing and regeneration process.
Treatment downtime is minimal, with most people experiencing only mild redness for a day or two. A course of treatments is usually recommended for best results, which we carefully personalise to your skin goals.
