At The Hampton Clinic, we use high-quality hot and strip waxes for exceptional hair removal, with single-use applicators and absolutely no double-dipping. Our skilled practitioners uphold the highest hygiene standards and prioritise your comfort and privacy, providing a seamless service and effective hair removal treatment for both women and men.
Before your waxing appointment:
Ensure that your hair is at least 1cm long for effective waxing. This allows the wax to grip the hair properly.
Avoid using sunbeds or sunbathing for at least 48 hours before your appointment.
Avoid very hot baths, steam rooms, or saunas just before your appointment to prevent any discomfort.
Do not apply any deodorants, oils, make-up, lotions, soaps, powders, perfumes or self-tanning products on the area to be waxed.
After your waxing appointment:
Gently cleanse the area with a mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water.
Steer clear of hot baths, tanning, saunas and steam rooms for at least 24 to 48 hours after waxing.
After waxing, apply a soothing aloe vera gel to hydrate the skin and help reduce irritation.
Opt for loose-fitting clothing to prevent friction and irritation on the waxed area.
Avoid heavy exercise or activities that may cause excessive sweating for at least 24 hours after waxing. Sweat can irritate the skin and clog pores, leading to potential breakouts or ingrown hairs.
Can men have waxing?
Yes, if you have hair we can remove it. See all men’s prices at the bottom of this page.
What's the difference between men's brazilian and hollywood wax?
Brazilian waxing is when all hair is removed apart from a strip or triangle at the front of pubic area. Hollywood waxing includes all hair from the pubic and perianal area.
Is male intimate waxing painful?
Most men find that waxing is not nearly as painful as they expected. The momentary sensation when the therapist removes the wax is done as quickly as possible to ensure a comfortable experience.
How often should I schedule intimate waxing sessions?
For optimal results, a four to six-week interval between sessions is recommended.
Can I have waxing whilst pregnant?
Having a wax whilst pregnant will not cause harm to you or your baby.
Will my skin be tender or red after waxing?
This very much depends on your skin, health and medications. Clients can experience redness from 1h-24h after treatment, but with the correct aftercare the redness will normally go down relatively quickly. Please keep in mind some medication can cause the skin to be more sensitive.
Can I have a wax on my period?
Yes you can, provided you’re okay to use a tampon or moon cup.
