Non surgical body
contouring, built
around one body

Body contouring is not weight loss and it is not one treatment applied to everybody. It is about specific areas, assessed properly, and a plan built around what you actually want to change.

In short

What is non surgical body contouring?

Non surgical body contouring at The Hampton Clinic in Bristol targets specific areas rather than overall body weight, using the 3D-Lipo UltimatePro platform. Four technologies sit on it, cryolipolysis, ultrasound cavitation, radio frequency and shockwave therapy, used individually or in combination according to what the assessment finds.

It helps with localised pockets of stubborn fat, the appearance of cellulite and skin laxity. It is not a weight loss treatment and it is not an alternative to weight loss. Bespoke programmes start from £600, set after your consultation.

We do not think body contouring should begin by choosing a machine from a menu. It should begin by understanding what we are treating.
The clinic position

What body contouring can help with

Our body contouring programmes are used to address stubborn or localised areas of fat, body shaping and contour, the appearance of cellulite, loose or lax skin, and changes to body shape following weight loss.

Body contouring is not intended as a treatment for obesity and it is not an alternative to weight loss. It is designed to target specific areas where additional contouring or skin improvement may be desired. If what you are describing is better answered by something else, we will tell you that at the consultation rather than sell you a course.

Every treatment journey starts with an assessment. We look at the areas you would like to improve, discuss what you want to achieve, and determine which technologies, or which combination of them, are appropriate for you. The number of sessions required also varies from person to person.

Cryolipolysis, fat freezing

Cryolipolysis is designed to target localised areas of stubborn fat using controlled cooling.

It can be particularly useful for areas such as the abdomen, arms and legs, where pockets of fat may remain despite changes in diet, exercise or overall body weight. The controlled cooling targets fat cells within the treatment area, which are then gradually cleared through the body's natural processes.

Cavitation

Cavitation uses ultrasound energy as a non surgical approach to body contouring.

At The Hampton Clinic it can be incorporated into a programme to target localised areas of fat and improve body contour, as well as within programmes addressing the appearance of cellulite. Depending on what we are trying to achieve, cavitation may be combined with other technologies rather than used alone.

Radio frequency, and skin laxity

Radio frequency uses controlled energy to heat tissue beneath the skin, and it plays several roles within a body contouring programme.

It can be used when addressing body contour and the appearance of cellulite, but it is particularly useful where skin laxity and tightening are also concerns. The controlled heating effect supports collagen remodelling, helping to improve the appearance and firmness of the treated skin over time.

Shockwave therapy, and the appearance of cellulite

Shockwave therapy is particularly useful when addressing the appearance of cellulite and uneven skin texture.

One of its advantages within our approach is its versatility. Shockwave can be incorporated alongside our other body contouring technologies as part of a wider treatment programme when appropriate, which is usually how it earns its place.

A treatment plan built around you

Your consultation allows us to understand what you want to change, what we are treating and what is realistically achievable. From there we determine which of our technologies should be used, whether a combination would be beneficial, and how many sessions we recommend.

Because meaningful body contouring develops over a course of treatment, we do not position a single session as the solution. Your programme and your progress are considered as a whole.

Where appropriate, measurements and photographs are taken to give us a baseline from which to monitor progress, so what changed is compared against a record rather than against recollection. Progress is reviewed throughout the course and the treatment adjusted where appropriate.

Prices

Bespoke body contouring programmes start from £600.

The final cost depends on the areas being treated, the technologies recommended and the number of sessions required. A full treatment plan and price is discussed with you following your consultation, before you commit to anything.

The evidence

Our own patients,
unretouched, with
their consent.

Where appropriate, photographs are taken at the start of a programme so progress is measured against a record. These are patients of the clinic, published with their permission and without retouching. Drag any slider to compare.

Suitability

Honest about who
it is for.

It may suit you if

  • You have specific areas in mind rather than a general wish to lose weight
  • Stubborn fat, cellulite, loose skin or post weight loss changes are the concern
  • You are prepared to treat it as a course rather than a single session
  • You want progress measured against a baseline rather than assumed

It is not the answer if

  • You are looking for a treatment for obesity or an alternative to weight loss
  • You want a single appointment to be the whole solution
  • You want a machine chosen before anyone has looked at the area
  • Assessment shows another approach would serve you better

Questions

Before
you book.

What is non surgical body contouring?

A group of treatments used to target specific areas rather than to reduce overall body weight. At The Hampton Clinic that means cryolipolysis, cavitation, radio frequency and shockwave therapy on the 3D-Lipo UltimatePro platform, combined into a programme built around the areas you want to change.

Is body contouring a weight loss treatment?

No. It is not intended as a treatment for obesity and it is not an alternative to weight loss. It is designed to target specific areas where additional contouring or skin improvement may be wanted.

What can body contouring help with?

Stubborn or localised areas of fat, body shaping and contour, the appearance of cellulite, loose or lax skin, and changes to body shape following weight loss.

What is cryolipolysis, or fat freezing?

Cryolipolysis uses controlled cooling to target localised areas of stubborn fat, often on the abdomen, arms and legs where pockets remain despite changes to diet, exercise or overall body weight. The targeted fat cells are then gradually cleared through the body's natural processes.

How much does body contouring cost at The Hampton Clinic?

Bespoke body contouring programmes start from £600. The final cost depends on the areas being treated, the technologies recommended and the number of sessions required, and a full treatment plan and price is discussed with you after your consultation.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies from person to person. Meaningful body contouring develops over a course of treatment rather than in a single session, so your programme is planned and reviewed as a whole. The number recommended for you is set at your consultation.

Which technology is right for me?

That is decided by assessment, not by picking a machine from a menu. Cryolipolysis, cavitation, radio frequency and shockwave each do something different, and they are often more useful combined than alone. What we use, and in what order, follows from what we are treating.

Will you take photographs?

Where appropriate, measurements and photographs can be taken at the start to give a baseline from which to monitor your progress. Nothing is published anywhere without your consent.

Next step

Start with the
areas, not with
the machine.

If stubborn fat, cellulite, loose skin or a change in body shape is what brought you here, the first step is a consultation. We will assess the areas you want to improve, discuss what is realistically achievable, and recommend a programme built for you.
