Non surgical hair
restoration in Bristol
Non surgical treatment forms the foundation of our hair restoration approach. Rather than selecting one treatment and applying it to everyone, we build a personalised programme from the findings of your consultation and assessment.
In short
What is non surgical hair restoration?
Non surgical treatment forms the foundation of hair restoration at The Hampton Clinic. Rather than selecting one treatment and applying it to everyone, a personalised programme is built from the findings of your consultation and assessment.
Depending on suitability, a programme may draw on different approaches designed to support existing follicles, improve scalp health and encourage healthier hair growth. Progress is monitored throughout, so the approach can be adapted as your hair responds.

Your programme is built, not chosen
Depending on individual suitability, your programme may incorporate different approaches designed to support existing follicles, improve scalp health and encourage healthier hair growth.
Your programme is determined by what your hair needs, not by a standard treatment package. Progress is monitored throughout, which allows us to reassess how your hair is responding and adapt the approach where appropriate.
We publish what each approach is and where it sits. We do not publish the protocol itself, because the protocol is decided by your assessment rather than by a page on a website.
Red light and low level laser therapy
Light based hair therapy is a non invasive treatment used to support cellular activity within suitable hair follicles and encourage healthier hair growth.
Because hair grows in cycles, consistency is important. Treatment is therefore typically delivered as part of a structured programme over time rather than as an occasional standalone session.
PRP and PRF
Platelet rich plasma uses a concentrated preparation derived from your own blood and delivered into the scalp. Platelet rich fibrin is a newer generation preparation, made without anticoagulants, which forms a natural fibrin matrix.
Where appropriate, either may be incorporated into a wider hair restoration programme to support the environment surrounding existing follicles. Neither is a universal standalone solution for every type of hair loss, and their use is determined by individual assessment and suitability.
Exosomes
Exosomes are microscopic extracellular vesicles involved in communication between cells. Their potential use in hair restoration centres on supporting communication and signalling within the environment surrounding the hair follicle.
Where used, they form part of the wider approach rather than being presented as a standalone solution.
Scalp health
The scalp provides the environment in which the hair follicles function. Where scalp concerns are identified, improving and maintaining scalp health may form part of the overall treatment strategy alongside treatments aimed at supporting the hair itself.
This is the part of the work that rarely gets a page of its own anywhere else, and it is the part that most often decides whether anything layered on top has a chance of working.
What a programme costs
Non surgical hair restoration programmes at The Hampton Clinic run from £1,400 to £3,500.
Where yours sits inside that depends on what the assessment finds: how far the loss has progressed, what appears to be contributing to it, which therapies your programme draws on and how long it runs for. That is why it is a range rather than one number, and why nobody can honestly quote you before they have looked at your hair.
The consultation itself is complimentary. The £25 that secures your appointment is refunded when you attend, and your programme and its full cost are set out for you before you commit to anything.
Hair transplantation is quoted separately, because it is planned around the individual case.
Inside the clinic
What the foundation
phase looks like.
Filmed in the practice on Whiteladies Road: the scalp examined under magnification first, then a session on the Invisi low level laser device and the red light panel. The whole argument of this page is the order those things happen in, so here is the order, in twenty three seconds.
Read what is said in the film
Every treatment starts with a detailed consultation,
where we assess your scalp and hair condition to understand exactly what you need.
Once we’ve mapped the right approach, we move to the Invisi hair regrowth machine.
Using advanced low-level laser technology, it stimulates dormant follicles, boosts circulation, and delivers more oxygen and nutrients to the scalp.
This helps strengthen existing hair and support natural, thicker regrowth over time,
and all of it without surgery.

Compared
Four therapies, one
question each time:
does it suit you?
| Approach | What it is | How it is delivered | Downtime | Where it sits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Red light therapy | Specific wavelengths of light delivered directly to the scalp | In clinic, as a course over time rather than a single session | No surgery and no downtime | Supports cellular activity within viable follicles |
| PRP | A concentrated platelet preparation made from your own blood | Into targeted areas of the scalp, where assessment supports it | Explained at your assessment | Supports the environment around existing follicles |
| PRF | A newer generation platelet preparation, made without anticoagulants | Into targeted areas of the scalp, where assessment supports it | Explained at your assessment | Supports the environment around existing follicles |
| Exosomes | Extracellular vesicles involved in signalling between cells | Into targeted areas of the scalp, where assessment supports it | Explained at your assessment | Supports signalling around the hair follicle |
None of these is sold as a standalone treatment at The Hampton Clinic. Which of them applies to you, in what order, and for how long, is decided by your hair and scalp assessment rather than by a package chosen in advance.
Suitability
Honest about who
a programme is for.
It may suit you if
- You are noticing thinning, shedding, recession or loss of density
- You would rather understand the cause before choosing a treatment
- There is still viable hair in the affected area to work with
- You are prepared to measure progress over months rather than weeks
It is not the answer if
- You want a single appointment with an immediate result
- The follicles in the area have been permanently lost
- You are looking to buy one named treatment on its own
- You want a fixed package quoted before anyone has looked at your scalp
The evidence
What a non surgical
programme can
actually do.
Microscopic images are taken on the first visit. Progress is then formally reviewed every 2 months, so what changed is compared against a record rather than against recollection. Drag any slider to compare.

Preserve what can be preserved. Restore what can be restored. Replace only what genuinely needs replacing. The principle
I have been visiting the Hampton Clinic for ten years and there is absolutely nowhere else I would go for my treatments. Customers are always welcomed by a warm, polite and efficient team who are experts in their field. Treatments are carried out in an extremely respectful and personal manner.Lindsey Berry
I have been coming here for a very long time for laser hair growth treatment. I originally knew Tarek from a previous clinic, and I have continued to trust him. It never feels rushed or clinical in a cold way. There is always good conversation, genuine care, and a real personal touch, which makes a big difference.
I am impressed, and learnt a lot at my hair loss consultation today at The Hampton Clinic Bristol. They explained everything, what is the cause of my thinning hair, and advised what I should use and take.
Always welcoming, staff very friendly and positive. I have been on numerous occasions and have always been treated respectfully. They keep you updated about your sessions by email and text, and you always get an aftercare email too.

Questions
Before
you book.
What does non surgical hair restoration involve?
A personalised programme built from the findings of your hair and scalp consultation. Depending on individual suitability it may draw on red light therapy, PRP, PRF, exosomes and work on scalp health. Which of these apply, and in what order, is decided by your assessment rather than by a fixed package.
Is non surgical hair restoration better than a hair transplant?
They answer different problems. Non surgical treatment works with follicles that are still viable and forms the foundation of our approach. Transplantation replaces hair in areas of permanent loss and is considered after the foundation has been addressed, so that surgery is focused on what genuinely needs replacing.
How much does a non surgical hair restoration programme cost in Bristol?
Every programme is personalised, so cost depends on what your assessment establishes you actually need. The consultation itself is complimentary, with a £25 holding fee that is refunded when you attend or deducted from the cost of your programme. What we recommend, why, and what it involves is explained at that appointment before you commit to anything.
How long before I see a result?
Hair grows in cycles, so meaningful change is measured in months rather than weeks. Microscopic images are taken at the start to establish a baseline and progress is formally reviewed every 2 months, so change is compared against a record rather than against memory.
